Aromatherapy is the application and use of essential oils. Essential oils are the
liquid life force inside plants, trees, shrubs, leaves, flowers, and roots.
Aromatherapy is one of the oldest healing arts, rooted in ancient civilization.
Our ancestors discovered the powerful properties of herbs and soon regarded
essential oils as medicines.
The Earth gives us many pure essential oils to benefit our bodies, minds and
spirits through absorption of aromatherapy.
A plant's essence can help to heal us, calm us, or make us happy. Different
plants contain different oils that do different things. These oils used separately
or blended together have powerful physiological and psychological actions.
Essential oils have also been scientifically proven to have powerful effects on
moods, emotions, the immune system and general well being.
Essential oils are quite concentrated and should rarely be used full strength.
Lavender and Tea Tree are exceptions, but you should always perform a skin
test first.  A 1 percent dilution (8 to 10 drops per oz.) is usually safe.
